Importing Contacts and Other Data in B2B Dash

NOTE: Importing Contacts requires keen attention to detail.  Please ask us for help if you are not confident to do this and we can guide you through it.

If you have a list of leads from a different platform, you can have them transferred to B2BDash. You can follow these steps to help you import contacts to B2BDash.

BEFORE YOU START:

You have the option to apply a tag to your contact records when importing.

This is handy if you need to grab just a specific group of records for later, for a bulk email, deletion, or re-adding tags, etc.

Before you start, go and create the tag(s) you want to apply to all the records you're importing in B2B Dash's settings area here: https://go.b2bdash.io/settings/dropdowns

STEP 1

On the main page, expand the panel to the left and select Leads.

STEP 2

Then on the record list page, look for the  "Actions" button. Choose "Import Contacts"

Click " CSV/Spreadsheets" and then choose the file you wish to import (Note: Your spreadsheet must be in *.csv format)

NOTE: If you want to upload a new CSV file, click on "File Already Uploaded. Change?" under the boxes.

STEP 3

Review the automatically matched column headings

On the following page, you will be able to choose how your data should be handled, i.e. how you want each field imported. (Be sure to map the data that you need).

STEP 4

Next, review any that were not matched, and click on the column name to include them in your import

NOTE: If any rows are showing in Red, either remove them from your import list or be sure to update the mapping dropdown

STEP 5

Next, Apply any tags you would like added to this group of records.

STEP 6

Next choose if you want to only import new records, or try to merge with existing records.

NOTE: New information will be added if the field is empty in B2BDash, you cannot overwrite anything you already have there

STEP 7

Next, import a Sample first to make sure you imported everything you wanted correctly. Click " Import Now"

STEP 8

Finally, choose the option " No, just import everything". Click "Import Now"
